Sunday 19 August, 9.00am | Briefing
10 - 11.30am | Written Exam and Blind Tasting
- Includes multi-choice and short answer
- 3 white wines & 3 red wines
Sunday 19 August, 2.00pm | Service and selling techniques
- Open wine (cork-closure) at the table
- Present, open and pour Methode Traditionelle
- Food and Wine Pairings - Sommeliers are given a wine list and a food menu
- Explain the match and their understanding
Terms & Conditions
- Must complete the application form.
- Must be currently employed for at least 24 months or, in the past, have worked for in a restaurant for 24 months or longer
- Must be able to fly to China for 6 September 2018 to attend the One Belt One Road Champion Sommeliers Programme in Ningxia, China.
- Must be currently working in New Zealand.
- Must a member of the New Zealand Sommeliers and Wine Professionals Association.

Terms & Conditions
- Must complete the application form.
- Must be aged under 30 years
- Must have worked or be working in a restaurant for 12 months
- Must be able to fly to Queenstown on dates specified before 1 May 2019
- Must a member of the New Zealand Sommeliers and Wine Professionals Association
